Playing in Pink for Manx Breast Cancer

Sunday saw players don pink for a Charity Basketball event organised by Hoops Basketball in aid of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group. Working over a number of years the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, along with Mannin Cancers, has raised millions of pounds to improve the Breast Care Service on the Isle of Man and every penny raised stays on island. With a number of players, supporters and families of Isle of Man Basketball having been impacted by Breat Cancer, it is a charity that is close to the heart of our Association.

Over 50 players and supporters attended the fun basketball session on Thursday with a 3v3 Tournament and 5v5 Games rounded out by some fun shooting competitions. The atmosphere was full of positive energy and plenty of fun was had by all. The even raised £425 for Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and many thanks are given to everyone who attended and donated. Special thanks goes to Gemma & Zoe Kirkham who were instrumental in organising the event.

More events are planned for the future with details to be announced on our website and various social media platforms.
