Applications sought for 2029 Island Games Co-Ordinator

In preparation for the 2029 Island Games, which will be held on the Isle of Man, the Basketball Association Committee has created a new position of 2029 Island Games Co-Ordinator. The role will involve working with key contacts within the island’s basketball and wider sporting communities, including the Island Men’s & Ladies Basketball Coaches and Island Games Association of Mann, to develop and implement a plan of action toward the 2029 games. Key areas of planning will include:

  • Junior Development towards the 2029 Games
  • Avenues for Fundraising for the Island Teams
  • Identification of Equipment and Skills required for the Tournament
  • Co-Ordination with IGAM on Venues Hire, Transportation, Accommodation, etc

As a volunteer organisation, and under the terms of the Association’s Constitution, this is an unpaid role though future budget may be allocated by proposal from the Executive Committee and consent of the membership. The position is open to both members of the Association and any other interested party.
