Cavaliers recorded 31 field goals (26 ร— 2PT, 5 ร— 3PT) and 7/12 FT, while Pirates managed 11 field goals (10 ร— 2PT, 1 ร— 3PT) and 4/12 FT.

For the Pirates, Mike Breretonโ€™s 16 pts (including one three-pointer) stood out in a tough night for his side.

Cannons Rally After Early Scare

Cannons Elite completed the second round fixtures with an impressive 85โ€“60 victory over Southern Phoenix, overcoming a strong early challenge. Phoenix came out firing to lead 25โ€“20 after the first quarter, but Cannons tightened up defensively and gradually took control of the game.

From the second quarter onward, Cannons dominated the tempo, outscoring Phoenix 18โ€“10, 22โ€“9, and 25โ€“16 in the remaining periods.

The Cannons finished with 35 field goals (26 ร— 2PT, 9 ร— 3PT) and 6/14 FT, while Phoenix made 24 field goals (19 ร— 2PT, 5 ร— 3PT) and 5/7 FT.

For Phoenix, Matthew Jones was a standout with 30 pts (13 ร— 2PT, 4/9 FT), with Konrad Hand adding 10 pts and Zak Hand 7.
Cannonsโ€™ depth and second-half composure proved decisive as they secured a convincing win to start their season.
